Most of the fun from lego comes from designing and building your own stuff IMO. I used to always destroy the normal model after enjoying it for a few hours. God why did I have to donate all my legos to a 4-year-old deaf autistic boy who loves legos.

@TheCrudMan: Agreed. Not long after purchasing an X-Wing fighter, I started disassembling it to do what I will with the parts. It's just too tempting, because a lot of the parts in these SW sets can't be purchased individually from their Pick-A-Brick bin. Besides...what's the point of LEGO if you just display it the whole time?

A lot of you may already know this, but you can built Lego stuff in software and have Logo ship you the pieces to build them in the real world. You can order up loose blocks by the piece directly from Denmark.

I didn't know Lego did this, but that is some customer service, considering a piece like a mug is only $.08 per.

Just more reasons to love Lego.

@AdmNaismith: I have the software on my computer. It's rather awesome.

So the picture of the completed Lego set on the actual box isn't good enough anymore?

ONE. Grab that box off the shelf.
TWO. Find the bar code on that box.
THREE. Scan the code on that box.

    ... it's a DIGITAL BOX!
