With a LCD flat panel from its 6000 series, Samsung reveals, layer by layer, everything from its LED backlight—which is actually lit up from the sides of the panel—all the way to the front bezel. The gallery can be seen at the Samsung Experience in New York City this week, but we've got a photo recap for you if it'll physically hurt you to see this beautiful panel shredded in person. [DVice]

<![CDATA[Wii Broken and Exposed]]> Pop Sci had an easy task: open up the Wii box and take pictures of it. It was easy in theory. However, since Nintendo put the thing together with proprietary screws, Pop Sci had to pull the old Conan the Barbarian holding up the wall in order to get the console open. The result? A broken console and a whole bunch of pictures of the inside.

Take a look at the gallery and see the chipset, the two wifi antennas, and the slot-loading disc drive. And then cry as you realize you're staring at the never-be-played-again innards of a beautiful Wii.

<![CDATA[PS3 Dissected—Prettier than Expected]]> While our own Jason Chen is a bit too in love with the PS3 for these measures, the folks at DailyTech weren't and took the huge, son of a gun PS3 apart. What surprises did they find? Nothing really; just a bunch of circuit boards, fans, and other electronic components. I must say that it does appear to be fairly easy to take the PS3 apart, a lot easier than the Xbox 360. Seven torx screws and whammo, you have the innards of the PS3.

So, uh, modchippers out there. You folks going to get to work on this yet, or what?
