He took his run-of-the-mill Dodge Viper and had it converted from a regular gas guzzling monster to an ethanol chugger. While Jacob didn't drive the car himself, a driver from Super Viper hit 218 mph in July, a top speed record for an ethanol-based car during a standing mile. How much did this conversion end up costing Jacob? A paltry $200,000. [CNet]

<![CDATA[MTV on Zune Marketplace?]]>

Also, another crafty Zune lover was poking through the Zune software code and a couple of lines referring to MTV, VH1 and CMT. Does this mean that the Marketplace is going to be adding new content partners or is this just a relic from it's WMP11 past?
Plus, the video above: This guy cares so much about his Zune, that he cut up his Dodge Nitro just to get them to play nicely with one another. Seriously though, it's a pretty smooth integration, but we would have waited for the Zune 2.0 before taking the knife to our interior.

<![CDATA[Dodge Charger SRT8 Gadget Review, Plus Smokey Burnouts]]>
Gizmodo and our auto-obsessed brother blog Jalopnik, are again working hard in our joint effort to keep you at the bleeding edge intersection of cars and technology. Jalopnik's taken the 2006 Dodge Charger SRT8 for a spin—and although they claim wthat even if it didn't have a single gadget goody in it, it'd still be an amazing car due to the high-level of hoonage potential in a rear-wheel drive (RWD) sedan with 425 hp. Lucky for both car-nerds and gadget-nerds, it's chock-full o' gizmos—including the first-ever video review of Chrysler's UConnect bluetooth hands-free system. And check out the full review over at Jalopnik.

<![CDATA[Dodge Magnum Case Mod]]> Every once in a while our Gawker brothers at Jalopnik join in on the geekfest, and this time they showed us a case mod from PC Rides that wraps up an Intel Core Duo inside your choice of a Dodge Magnum, Dodge Charger or Dodge Viper SRT10 case.

We like the fact that the three bodies are interchangeable, so if you're feeling particularly sporty, swap out the Magnum for the Viper. Available in late summer starting at $1500, additional bodies are $200.
