    Well, Flu season has barely started. Fortunately, h1n1 is still no more severe than normal flu. But infection rates are unprecedented. Just take a look at the graph here: [www.cdc.gov]
    We are 25% higher than the peak of last season, and we are still in the 200940's. the peak will likely happen between 200950 and 201010 on the x-axis.
    I and all my family (including my 7 month old) have gotten the h1n1 shot. No ill effects whatsoever.

    @dragon: ONE: the difference is that avian flu never went pandemic. It still does not easily pass human-to-human. One mutation could make it so. Then we have a real problem on our hands - because all evidence indicates avian flu is significantly more fatal than even the 1918 A strain. #swineflu

    @Thomas Thorne: not really freaky, but really mundane. H5n1 (avian flu) doesn't infect humans well because it doesn't bind to mucus membranes in the front of the nasal cavity like human flus (h1n1, h3n1) do. If it reassorts with, say, h1n1 in the body of some unlucky human or bird, it could very easily become highly infectious. That type of thing happens with influenza. Not often, fortunately. But definitely possible. #swineflu

    You realize that the one in Europe has adjuvants while the one in the US does not and that the adjuvant (ie immune system activator) accounts for most of the side effects.

    @sally599: Yes, that's true. The US vaccine has no adjuvants or thimerosal. However, neither have been shown to cause any ill effects that are statistically significant (abnormal side effects remain something like 1:1 million). #swineflu

    Tits on a bull serve a better purpose. I put in my town and it came up with all Walgreen's locations and out of stock while it didn't even show the county health department which HAS inventory and I just got my shot from. LAME-O. #swineflu

    This is one thing I will never understand. Why would you want to play any game on such a small screen? Pre or iPhone? I have a Pre, but I also have a PS3 and an Xbox 360. I'll keep my gaming on my 50".

    Sure it looks good for an iPhone game, but it still looks pretty crappy - no better than a DS. And I have no doubt that the controls will be frustrating.


    The iPhone is fine for casual gaming - BubbleBobble, Scrabble and the like, but not for gaming gaming. Games like this offer a certain "wow-factor" but they don't ultimately deliver. For portable gaming, the PSP really can't be beat.

    @kwellman: the only controls there could possibly be are on the touchscreen, obscuring the game. The controls could be fantastic for an iPhone and it wouldn't matter - there is no way that the controls on a game like this won't suck compared to anything with an analog stick and hardware buttons. Touchscreen might be fine for puzzle games or even RPG and RTS, but never for an FPS.


    @Dillinger23: this doesn't look any better to me than Metroid did on the DS, and that was a first-gen DS title.
