@Robotronic: No, it's not that, either. A Mobius strip has one side and one boundary. This does not qualify, and if you eat half the donut, the remaining half is still not a Mobius strip.
@Nepherim: Close, but no cigar. If you cut a Mobius strip down the center, you get one large loop. If, however, you create a Mobius-like figure with an extra twist (is there a name for that?) and cut that down the center line. that will give you a chain link.
