Oh boy, they are using the MapView which is BUGGY as crazy. Until Google actually releases an API to their built in map tile generator, all these map based apps are gonna stop loading after the web browsers cache is full (Which is about 100 map moves).

I guess this is as close as I'll get to Taipan for the iPhone... Kinda fitting since it was the Apple IIe that got me hooked.

ti-83 is a joke. A true indication that the right marketing will sell whatever POS product you've got.

I'm not anti TI (I aint' starting some HP vs TI war). They did get it right with ti-92, 89 and the nspire series. I played with ti-83 (because, apparently, math teachers force children to buy that POS), and it was the crappiest calculating experience EVUH... I normally enjoy picking calculators, but this was just crap.

The writer of this article should be ashamed of him/herself. BOOO....

No, just kidding, they're just calculators (although some of those calculators are overpriced and retarded), but no no... really... they're just calculators..

Back in my day, we used to share programs using the link cables on our TI-89's! I was the supreme drug-lord and Phoenix champion of Edgewater High!

We didn't have no dang Neentendo Dee Esses and their magical Wi-Fi hocus-pocus!

I dunno. With the GPS feature and the ability to see other users, I could totally see this being abused somehow to actually sell drugs. lol, though I don't know how exactly, it just opens up the possibility.

Can you imagine a jailbroken drug selling app? LOL

If pretending to buy/sell drugs is too controversial for the AppStore, then they should make it buy/sell milk, eggs, bread, etc (at ridiculous high prices, like drugs) and have an option where the users can change the names of the items (to drugs if they wanted).

Looks a bit involved, so dunno if it'll work. Dope Wars worked because it was really simplistic and fun. I hope I'm wrong and this game is freakin awesome!!! I can't wait. I'm shaking already from withdrawals. I need my drugs...lords.

Man if the cops catch you with this app on your phone you'll never see your phone again as it becomes "evidence".

@Lupison: One the one side, I doubt most cops would be able to figure out how to get to it, and they prob wouldn't even check your phone unless you had already been implicated in a significant crime (involvement in drug dealing, murder, robbery, etc.)

But on the other hand I see what you are saying, they would probably be dumb enough to think that it was some secret black book accounting app... Man the egg on their faces tho if they tried to pin that on you, it would almost be worth it, except that with as fcuked up as the justice system is they might actually be able to make it stick and send you up river for a long time...

@chorx: The historical precedent should be able to sway Apple, if not the App Store/SDK/Approval process SUCK, but wait, we already knew that.

I'm still waiting to TI to release a full TI graphing calc app. Then you can play the original game.

I'm tired of just seeing HP calcs in the app store!

Perfect for all the drug dealers in training. Get them "hooked" on the game while they're young and learn the ropes.
