how the eff did a 15 month old manage to start it? aren't 15 months old like barely 2 feet tall? and what was she doing in there anyways? Parental supervision needs to be questioned. But it is still sad and the parents have my prayers and condolences
@armendni: If it's the new-style that is stackable w/ the buttons on the front? Not so hard to reach. At the age of 2 I attempted to climb on top of the washing machine to get something using a bucket of paint (this had a tragic ending I assure you) as a stepping stool.
@Imio: Hopefully his parents can shield him from it, and tell him when he's older she died from a fall or something else. No one should have to live with that kind of guilt.

@latterman: Yours yes. But a high technology Water saving front loader CAN NOT! It must be sleek and sexy to let you and your friends know you car about the enviroment and can afford it. It must also LOCK the door to prevent someone from getting out, unlike top loaders which my cats can lift the lid to and jump inside.
Mine is a top loader and if you open the lid all the way, it will actually turn off the machine as it presses the knob in. Front loaders lock the
