Tap it and frame self-portraits, or play animations to capture kid's attention (and terrorize those with a fear of clowns).

The cameras have a 4.6x optical zoom, 720p-quality video recording, SDHC support, and have "Smart Gestures"—perform tasks by drawing on their touchscreens with your finger. The TL225 has a 3.5-inch (1,152k resolution) main screen; the TL220's display is 3-inch (230k).

Pricing hasn't been released, but the cameras are initially expected to launch in Singapore later this month, as ST500 and ST550. Apparently a Samsung presser in NY later today should reveal more details on U.S. availability. [CNet Asia]

Update: The prices are going to be $300 and $350 for the TL220 and TL225, respectively. Both launch in September.

<![CDATA[V12 Design Dual-Screen Laptop Gets a Bit More Real With Estari Partnership]]> The Canova dual screen LCD laptop from V12 Design we profiled back in July is slowly exiting the concept phase and could actually be headed for the all-important production stage of development.

The boost in street cred is due entirely to the fact that V12 Design has hooked up with an American firm called Estari to help with development. Estari, as you may know, is in the business of developing all sorts of dual screen computer things, including a 2-VU dual screen laptop from way back in 2007.

Today, in 2009, their web page has changed to reflect the news that they've teamed up with V12 Design to make a laptop that looks like what the OLPC XO-2 would look like if it mated with a Lambo.

But will this revolutionize the laptop, as Estari's marketing suggests? Judging by the fact that many of you are probably reading this on a traditional laptop, coupled with the fact that Estari's 2007 effort seems to have been lost sometime in 2007, I'm skeptical, at best.

<![CDATA[Nintendo DSi Will Come Loaded With Extra RAM]]> Nintendo's DSi will be loaded with more RAM than the DS Lite, according to Opera CEO Jon von Tezchner. In an interview with TechTree, the man responsible for web surfing on Nintendo's handheld said that Opera would be sure to use the memory boost “efficiently.” That's great and all, but what does this mean for games?

While the possibility of a completely DSi-only game is probably pretty low, maybe the next Nintendo creations take advantage of the new hardware for some DSi-exclusive features (like picture taking or music making). What do you think the RAM will be used for? [Techtree via Destructoid]

<![CDATA[Nintendo DSi Boosts Screen Size, Adds Camera and Audio Player]]>

The newest iteration of the Nintendo DS, the Dsi, has come out of hiding! The company's new handheld gets a 17% bigger screen (measuring in at 3.25 inches), a .3 megapixel camera, an SD memory card slot, and “audio enhancements” like the ability to listen to mp3s, adjust pitch and playback.

The DSi will also feature built-in browsers and a DSi shop. Pricing categories at the shop for DsiWare include Free, 200 points, 500 points, and a “Premium” 800 points. New DSi owners will get 1000 points to spend at the DSi Shop before March 2010. I. Want. It. Now. Get the rest of the story from our brother-in-arms, Kotaku (and click their digg badge above)!
