The greatest criticism of the Olympus E-P1, E-P2 and E-PL1 has undoubtedly been their autofocus speed. But a new firmware update increases AF speeds across these models by a promised minimum of 15%—that's using any lens you like.
It leaked earlier today, but we're still pretty struck by Olympus's latest micro four thirds camera, the E-PL1. Why? It has a built-in flash (finally!). And it's $600, making it the cheapest micro four thirds camera around.
The third official Olympus PEN (excluding the originals, natch) has got official after the teaser campaign last week. The E-PL1 is $200 cheaper than the E-P1, but packs in the same 12.3-megapixel sensor and 14-42mm f3.5/5.6 zoom lens.
