Buffalo's 32GB and 64GB SSDs For Eee PC Get Launch Date, Price

Asus's EeePC 901 has already proved itself very hackable but Buffalo's newest product won't require much modding: 32GB or 64GB replacement SSD's. Not much more to say, apart from the obvious: more storage, more impact resilient, longer battery life. The best bit? The 32GB SHD-EP9M32G is a mere $156, and the 64GB SHD-EP9M64G an equally neat $316. Available in Japan at first, mid-September.

EP2502 Cellphone Watch: Surprisingly Stylish, and Waterproof

There's something about the idea of cramming a cellphone into a wristwatch that keeps the designs rolling out, but is this the first one with a touch of style? Possibly, with that metal case and strap, and looking not too horrifically fat to wear. The EP2502 even has a 1.3-inch OLED touchscreen, a 2-megapixel camera, tri-band and Bluetooth support and claims to be shockproof. It's also supposedly the World's first waterproof cellphone, though we don't know to what waterproofing standard.

Asus Eee Desktop PC EP20 Images Leaked

We brought you news about the Eee Desktop PC EP20 a little while back, but it looks like the chaps at Hot Hardware have managed to get hold of some shots of the final, production line models. Unfortunately, they aren't willing to cite their source, but they are willing to say that the images "are indeed shots of an Asus Eee PC Desktop product that should be arriving to market some time in the next quarter or so." From what we have previously seen, the EP20 isn't quite as small as a Mac Mini, but we're still liking the design. The bubbly pattern on the side of the white edition just makes us all fizzy with excitement. We can't wait. [Hot Hardware]

First Look at the Asus Eee EP20 Desktop

Somehow the world managed to miss the Asus Eee EP20 desktop when it was unveiled at CeBIT, but nonetheless, the first images have resurfaced showing off the desktop Asus promised us back in November. Not much is known about the device other than it will feature the Linux OS—but the word on the street is that it will boast a Intel dual core processor at 1.87GHz, a 2.5″ hard disk instead of flash and a price tag that should hover around 200€, or roughly $300. A Message to Panasonic, Purveyors of Real Pro Ultra Massage Chairs

Dear Panasonic. First of all, I'd like to say how fine that Real Pro Ultra massage chair looks, if a little scary. It reminds me of that robot thing in Aliens - you know, the one that Ripley straps herself into right at the end. I'm sort of waiting for the model (about whom, more later) to start moving about the room in it, shouting, "Get away from her you BITCH!" just for the hell of it.

But could I just make a few observations? Firstly, if you want us to buy this thing - and, at $4,799, you're asking quite a lot - you need to do something to your press shots. Biscuit parquet covered by an even beiger carpet, and walls the color of biannually-cleaned fish tanks do not a sale make. What happened to the rest of the furniture? Perhaps she had to flog it all in order to pay for this vibrating mound of Pleather .

You will, I am sure, allow me to say a few words about the sleeping lay-dee, clad in what looks like a leisure suit (Is it softest Terry towelling? I bet it is) - sure, she may have assumed the "Do it quietly and gently, or you'll wake her" position, but it's just, not enough, is it?

No sirree. What you want is some shameless minx, clambering upside down on the chair, all tousled blonde hair extensions and PVC, oiled up, legs akimbo, proclaiming to the world that, yes, she likes 200 inches, she can TAKE two hundred inches, because that is what your massage chair can give her. 200 inches (square inches, obnoviously) of back massage! 460 inches of air massage - is that like air guitar, only more sensuous? The Giz must know now, please.

She must writhe and shiver, telling potential customers that the Real Pro Ultra does it Shiatsu-style, does Swedish, has a magic thumb that soothes away stiffness (oh, hold on, best not say that) erm, has a magic thumb that does unspeakable things, that grasps, that kneads, that can cater for up to four people*. Tell her to point out, breathlessly, that the chair is made of easy-wipe, synthetic leather, that it comes in either chocolate brown or black, and it's exclusively available at The Sharper Image.

And if that doesn't work, tell her to get her kit off and make an "Ooh" shape with her mouth. [Panasonic]

20,000-Watt Mega Speakers: Made Of Snow

As part of a statewide snow sculpture competition, some Michigan Technological University students have added balance to the millennia of snow angel production–through the evils of rock. While source audio is played from a standard laptop, it's powered by 9 Behringer EP2500's, and 1 Crown XLS602, which to us normal, snowman-making guys is over 20,000 watts in amplification. But yeah, that low-wattage Bose system you just bought is still really nice.

Adding non-snow speakers to their sculpture automatically disqualifies the team from competition. So why do they do it? (plus some more impressive pictures, after the jump).

To get loud as fuck.

EarMecca EP Series: Earphones and Earrings in One

The quest for de-uglification of earphones continues, and here's a pair cleverly disguised as earrings. From EarMecca of Korea, the EP Series Earphones might even appeal to persnickety types. The earrings are available in 10 different designs, are crafted in either gold or silver, and are adjustable even for those ears that hang low and wobble to and fro.

If they sound nearly as good as they look, these designers might be onto something. But then, these graphics we found don't show what happens to all those wires leading to the music player. Now if they could design these with Bluetooth in each ear ... well, we may have to wait a few years for that. Available now in Korea; no word if they will be available in the United States or at what price. – Charlie White
