Here's the thing, no matter how advanced technology, and the internet gets (in the foreseeable future), none of these technologies will die. If nothing else, with the already installed infrastructure, cable will never lose it's commercial clients to VOD, or movies on the internet. Not only that, but we've still got at least 40 years until everyone living (with access, of course) has grown up on computers and the internet. It will be at that point that decisions will have been made by the first generation of people who grew up on the internet, not those who hold dearly to their old, stodgy technology.

So, although I am delighted to see your article, saying that cable is a dying technology is full of fail.
