I can totally see that working in certain situations. I just gave blood and the Red Cross folks had to go through a checklist of factors with me ("have you every had sex with a intravenous drug-using Ugandan elephant?"). It would have been handy to have a screen like this, if the desk setup were right. It would also be useful at places like college registrars, where they often have to show you the information on their screen. So of course it's not for everyone, but maybe it has its place.

Why wouldn't you just build a VESA mount that can hold two monitors back-to-back instead? No folding, no extra space on your desk taken up?

Uhm, yes, because I want to have a screen between me and the person I'm talking to in person. If that were the case couldn't I just handle the whole thing via WebEx and not have to change out of my pajamas, er I mean leave my house?
