    This same company used to sell B52 ejection office chairs too. This isn't really anything new for them. They've been doing it for years.

    Were it a seat from a Marine Corps aircraft, the cushions would be all beat up and ripped and duct taped back together.

    I really wish they went with something along the lines of olive drab for the cushioning. I'd be going for the fighter jet look, not a Mercedes-Benz spaceship.

    What strikes me is how industrial/i.e. unrefined this chair looks - like they put zero thought into the design and just bolted together metal pieces until it resembled a chair. I guess that's what happens when you give out contracts to the lowest bidder.

    I never realized the Air Force equipped all of their f-4's w/red stitched Corinthian Leather seats. You learn something new everyday.

    @AllToAll,ByMyMustard!_GitEmSteveDave: @geiko: That's actually from the Refit. Originally it was upholstered in "Ultra-Vellour". It costs 4 grand a yard, but apparently it was worth it. Hard to get out the brown-ring left after a fire-fight, though.
