    I dont recall it being that difficult to get a Giz account. I signed up, they sent an email to confirm I was real, and I was commenting 5 minutes later.


    On second thought, they may want to make it harder to comment here.....

    It's easy to register, but apparently hard to get approved to post comments. I actually took the thirty seconds to register, and it didn't help. This way I can actually post.


    I do find it bizarre that gizmodo won't give me commenting privileges via a gizmodo account, but any bozo with a facebook account (including me) can post. Go figure.

    @Daniel Kimberg: That's because people with Facebook accounts are already prescreened, having passed a serious of rigorous mental and physical tests qualifying them for survival in the psychedelic badlands of Gizmodo. That said, I did bring a sherpa and use oxygen canisters for my first 2 months.
