A former Marine Corps marksmanship instructor has an interesting theory on why gangsters (in the movies or maybe even in real life) decide to shoot their guns sideways: it's actually a good idea in theory to quickly aim a firearm.
"The Raging Judge", as this gun is called, is insane. Though it has the look of a comically oversized revolver, it's actually capable of shooting 28 gauge shotgun shells. Which make this gun really freaking huge and scary and ridiculous.
You've really got to feel for the Lloyds of Canada, who tried flying back home from Britain with this army-base souvenir tucked into their carry-on luggage, only to be told it was a "firearm," and not allowed on the plane.
