    Rosa, Rosa, Rosa... you don't "get" men all the way yet? This guy crashed, sure - but he was *flying a JET PACK* at the time! That totally makes this an amazingly successful test flight ;-) Just like those first few SpaceX "test flights".

    Anytime a guy is, however briefly, flying through the air in a home-made rocket or jet-pack, he's living the dream *grin*

    I agree, really just RC Jet engines with a wing big enough to lift him. I suppose the end game is a wing with 747 engines on it so he can fly across a continent.

    @Serolf Divad: how else are you supposed to control the flight? By bending your back? Not to mention the amount of fuel you could
    save by not having to thrust just to stay in the air.

    Well think of how much fuel he could save by going up in a lawnchair fitted with 10000 helium baloons... doesn't make it any more a jetpack, though.
