That coming from a person who has probably used a few of them for years and has learned how to use them... but to the average person (like me a year ago) when i went shopping for a smart phone, yeah, they are hard to use. i didnt even know how to do anything with them. it was ridiculous. Thank god apple came into the smartphone bussiness.

@iAirmanshirk: No, most of my experience is with Nokia/Symbian but I have spent some time with those devices and they just didn't seem all that complicated to me. Granted it's definitely an adjustment switching between them but if you picked one and started using it exclusively I'm certain you would learn it quickly..

Is it just me or does this "feature" not seem worth the trouble.

Visual voicemail was intended to make the voicemail process more convenient, yet it looks like you have to have an engineering degree to get the damn thing set up and running...

Kudos for 3rd party devs filling in the features that are needed, but at some point they've gotta step back and look at it from a usability standpoint.

You need a degree to do anything on android. Thats why i refuse to use such complicated platforms (windows mobile, blackberry, android)

@iAirmanshirk: To be fair, the BlackBerry is fairly basic, which is why it has succeeded. Android is just buggy and green at the moment and will likely get much better with time.

As for Windows Mobile -- well, you are buying something with Windows in the name, so it seems like truth in advertising to me.

If you call the number they give you (the one that you forward your phone to) you can change your greeting there. When you're asked for a password, use the 4 digit password that was given when you set it up.
