    I've been having a rough couple of weeks, and seeing this again in HD cheered me up incredibly.


    Everything I do is just fine, and I like being here right now. And man o man, won't it be crazy if that happens during my lifetime? Wowza.


    The people who think this is depressing care way too much about the little things. Life will return one day, maybe. In the meantime, PLANET OF FIRE!!! yay!

    That was...awesome. Though I doubt the impact shockwave would uproot Japan like that. It's integrated into the crust of the Earth.

    15 Megaton blast?

    There was a 50 Megaton Fission bomb detonated decades ago and that didnt destroy the earth and consume it in a fire blanket.

    am i missing something? how could something w/ 3 times less energy cause so much more devastation? I think Giz messed up the facts here.

    something that big traveling that fast should carry a little more energy than that.
