Ricoh's ten-megapixel, shock-resistant G600 sits alongside its Caplio 500G, and boasts, as well as a 5x zoom, flash with a ten-meter range, 52MB internal memory and hi-def 2.7-inch display.

The G600 does movies too, shooting VGA video at 30fps, and you can even shoot up to a meter underwater. The G600 has been designed to work between temperatures of -10º and 40º Centigrade, and you can drop it onto 26 different surfaces from a height of 1.5 meters. Costing £350 when it comes out next month, that's almost $700—which proves that, while the camera may be shockproof, I am not. [Ricoh and Akihabara News]

<![CDATA[Samsung's Slim G600 Slider has a 5MP Camera]]> samsung-g600.jpgSamsung wants you to ditch your digital camera and just use their phones for all your picture-taking needs. At least that's what the upcoming G600 leads one to believe, what with it having a 5-megapixel camera crammed inside. Sure, they have phones with 10-megapixel cameras in them, but they're bulky gimmicks only available in Korea.

The G600 is in a slick package, similar to the other Ultra Edition sliders. Other than the beefed-up phone, it'll have 3G connectivity, USB, Bluetooth 2.0, 2.3-inch TFT QVGA display and a microSD memory card slot. No word on pricing or availability as of yet. [Unwired View]

<![CDATA[Kodak EasyShare G600 Printer Dock]]> Kodak's on a release binge today with word that the EasyShare G600 Printer Dock will be available sometime this month. It's a standard portable printer but with a dock connector to—you guessed it—connect compatible cameras, charging the camera and sending all your great shots to the printing press. There's no onboard LCD, but considering that you're supposed to actually dock your digital camera rather than just plug in a memory card, it's not that great a loss. Printing takes only about 60 seconds per shot, so it should fit your incredibly busy lifestyle. You'll also find the assorted picture enhacements that Kodak loves to include in all of its digital camera product. We meet again, Perfect Touch.

The G600 should be available before the end of the month for around $149.95.
