Up there are the Baby-Gs, which come in some wild bright colors with a patent leather look, have the cool reflective back, and are water resistant to 100 meters. They also come in black and white with pink faces and run $80. See the gadgety Glides and the remixed retro styles down below.

glides.jpgThe Glides are the heavy duty models in the new lineup. They are 200M water resistant, have a Moon Age Indicator and Tide Graph along with the usual G-Shock features. The black, white and red are $100; the teal, a special collaboration with Hawaiian brand In4mation costs, $110.

5600s6900s.jpgCasio updated the classic 5600s and 6900s with a bunch of slick colorways. The 5600 is now available in black with red face and yellow with blue face, and the 6900s round out the rest in black/green, pink/white, white/blue, and blue/black. They contain all the regular G-Shock features, but are also 200M water resistant if you want to dive deep. All of these pieces will set you back $90, and everything is out now. [Casio]

<![CDATA[ Casio Tough Movement For G-Shock Uses Internal LEDs to Sync Time ]]> These watch guts from Casio can receive radio synchronization signals from six transmitters around the world every hour at the 55-minute mark—if the individual holes in the gear sprockets don't line up in precisely the exact position as measured by a 16Hz blinking LED and a phototransistor, the watch adjusts accordingly. The first Tough Movement watch, the G-Shock GS-1200, will be available in Japan for $388. [Tech ON via Oh Gizmo]

<![CDATA[ Four More Casio G-Shocks Round Out 25th Anniversary Collection ]]> watch1-300.jpgFour new G-Shocks that weren't seen at this week's 25th anniversary party are now being shown off. On top is the GW225E-7, the cream of this crop. It's ISO 200 meter water resistant and built for divers. It has a timer that logs dives, and memory storage for vital stats like blood type, diver certification card and passport number. It also has a solar battery, but no Multi-Band, and it costs $350. Check out the rest after the jump.

watch4-300.jpgDolphin & Whale: The D&W is inspired by the Dolphin & Whale Eco-Research Network, a group working on environmental protection initiatives. It is translucent with blue highlights to represent the ocean, and it is engraved with the slogan "All Is One" on the back to represent the Network's feelings on life and nature. It features the solar battery, Multi-Band 5, rust resistance and standard G-Shock features.

watch3-300.jpgGWM5625E-7: This one updates the classic G-Shock design for the 25th anniversary, adding a long-lasting solar battery and Multi-Band 5, which automatically syncs the watch to five time stations around the world using radio waves. It also has five alarms and displays the time for 48 different cities around the world. The GWM5625E-7 goes for $150.

watch2-300.jpgEric Haze Edition: Graffiti artist Eric Haze is the inspiration behind this model, his third signature watch for G-Shock. Haze logos are on the band and backlight of the watch, which is a pretty basic model. It has shock and water resistance, but no solar battery or Multi-Band atomic time sync. At $100, it's the cheapest of the new line.

Good stuff, G-Shock, and happy 25th birthday to you. [G-Shock]

<![CDATA[ Casio Celebrates 25 Years of G-Shock With Four New Models ]]> mtg2.jpgCasio just unveiled four new G-Shock models at their 25th anniversary event tonight in NYC. Kanye West is here, but the watches are definitely taking front and center. Two are analog, the other two digital, and all feature Multi-Band 6 atomic time synchronization and solar batteries. The one above is the MT-G, or Metal Twisted G-Shock, the top of the line from this collection. It has a urethane and metal composite case and retails for $400. The other three, and everything we know about them so far, after the jump.

riseman2.jpgThe Riseman is a digital watch designed for outdoors-types and includes an altimeter and a barometer, and is the first watch to feature Multi-Band 6 synchronization, which synch the time from six locations around the world instead of the usual five. It'll set you back $220.

gulfman2.jpgThe Gulfman, the other digital watch, was inspired by fisherman who wanted a rust-resistant timepiece to use in the ocean, and has screws that won't rust. It retails for $220 as well.

giez2.jpgRounding out the group is the Giez, an analog piece with a solid metal case, and it costs $300.

I'll update as I learn more, but for now, I need to get back to the show.

<![CDATA[ New Casio G-Shocks Love Solar, Color, World Peace, Etc ]]> Continuing our obsession with recapturing the worst of the '80s in wristwatch form, these new Casio G-Shocks are more than a little fantastic. Aside from their classic G-Shock form, a solar panel under the face constantly recharges the watch so it's ready to automatically illuminate whenever you check the time.

Our friends over at Homotron disagree with our love for everything '80s and Casio. But as we've told them once before, that just leaves more fun for us, baby! [Casio via crunchgear]

<![CDATA[ I-O Data HTH-USR for Nervous Nellies ]]> iodata_hdh22.jpgIf you get all butterfinger-y when you're holding a running hard disk, the I-O Data HTH-USR might just save your ass. It has a 3D G-sensor that can tell if the drive is about to experience a sudden impact, parking the read/write heads and preventing any data damage.

It's about time somebody brought this technology over from hardened laptops which have had this technology for a while now. Available in 400GB and 750GB capacities, the higher-capacity HTH-USR will retail for $766.
