It was also clear that mdg357's homemade Iron Man suit was more than deserving of the free pizza. UPDATED:

Here is the complete list of costumes, in order of awesomeness. Thanks to everyone for participating and congrats to mdg357!

UPDATE: We've added a bonus late entry at the end of the list from our old friend Nick McGlynn—a truly kick ass Inspector Gadget. The contest may be over, but given that many of you might also be arriving late to the party, feel free to add your costume in the comments of this post. We would still love to see 'em.

<![CDATA[Halloween Costume Contest: Show Us The Geeky Getup You'll Be Wearing This Year]]> What are you going out as this Halloween? If it's geeky, we want to see it. There just might be a free pizza in it for you.

All you need to do is drop a photo in the comments of you actually wearing the costume. And let me just say, if it's Star Wars, it had dammed well better be unique somehow (like the Lego Star Wars costumes pictured above). And no, we don't need to see a pic of you as a kid in the '80's dressed like your favorite Ghostbuster—keep it recent. Show us a truly creative geeky costume and you could win that extra large pizza with toppings of your choosing. Better get on it as soon as you get home though—we'll be posting the best ones tomorrow. Good luck!

<![CDATA[Valentine's Day Magnets Favor the Strongly Sensitive Type]]> Looking for something to decorate your fridge with this V-Day, here's magnets of men weeping. Maybe it's just me, but if I really wanted to see grown ass men cry, I'd just start dating again.

<![CDATA[CAT5 Wedding Bands Pronounce You Geek and Geek]]> Here's something from 2004 worth bringing up again as it circulates the blogs. I am guessing that wedding bands featuring male and female 8P8C Ethernet connectors have a somewhat limited demand. I mean, sure I have met geeks that would be right into this, but never a pair of them, though the fact that they are sold out tells me that they do exist. For those that do want to confirm their geekiness and love in one fell swoop, the sterling silver and plastic rings are available on Etsy at $175 for the set. [Etsy via Gadgetell via DVICE]

<![CDATA[Circuit Board Car: Rollin' With a Supergeek]]> Recycling circuit boards for use as everyday, decorative objects is nothing new—but you have to hand it to a guy who takes the concept this far. Although, I doubt that you would be pulling in a lot of tail rollin' down the street in a circuit-board-covered beater with Thomas Dolby blaring on the radio.
