The legendary Hayao Miyazaki has made his first-ever all CG work! It’s a 10-minute short film that will run at the Ghibli Museum in Japan, and apparently took him three years to make. Still, it’s nice to know he’s filling his time after retiring from animation... with more animation.

Studio Ghibli's beautiful new film The Tale of Princess Kaguya will come to America on October 17th, with the voice of Chloe Moretz as Kaguya. Based on the classic Japanese folk tale of the bamboo cutter, Kaguya was directed by Isao Takahata and will be released by Gkids, likely just in time for awards consideration.
