That means two things in plain language: bad glue; and big trouble.

The report comes after investigators finished looking into an accident that happened last November. Part of the airframe of a F-22A fell off into the engine intake, causing a whopping $1.2 million of damage.

And, while we understand that machines so amazingly complex will always have flaws that need to be ironed out, let's hope they used SuperGlue with the F-35 Lightning II. Or gum. [The Dew Line]

<![CDATA[ Weird Combo of the Day: Five Dice Free With Glue ]]> This has to be one of the weirder combos we've seen, but Ricardo sent in this picture of a tube of glue that comes free with a dice game in his Portuguese supermarket. We know whenever we have to do some home repair we always wish we had some dice to throw around, and we definitely know that whenever we're playing dice, we wish we had glue handy. [Thanks Ricardo!]

<![CDATA[ Glue Stick Cellphone Charm ]]> Japanese stationery is the coolest in the world. But putting a gluestick on a cellphone? Sounds like a great invention, for all those times you feel the need to spontaneously create construction paper collages. But it sure would suck to have the cap pop off while the phone is in your pocket. Yet another useless but somehow admirable Japanese invention.

<![CDATA[ Bacterial Glue ]]> - GizmodoIndiana University researchers have found some sort of bacteria, C. crescentus, that secretes glue. Here's the story: This gross thing requires 70 newtons per square millimeter to remove from a glass pipette. That's equivalent to "five tons per square inch." It takes a mere 18-28 newtons per square millimeter to crack Super Glue. Hence, this bug glue is considerably better.

Best of all, it adheres even when wet. The plan is to use these things as a surgical glue or perhaps we can all fix that vase Peter broke while playing ball in the house even though Alice told us not to. Those poop-looking things in the picture are the bacteria and that stalk holds it to any surface.
