    If the caller uses VOIP, it will generally show up as a cell phone instead of a land line.

    The Area Codes and Exchanges is a database maintained by Telcordia. I used to update telecom databases with a CD of this data you have to subscribe to. It would just be large CSV files to import. Anyways, for those who are talking about GPS - that isn't data Telcordia keeps track of so it couldn't work that way. The database is pretty accurate - this application is probably using a watered down version of it (unless the dataset isn't stored locally on the phone and does a live lookup).
