Also, base don today's idiotic youth, this is a BAD idea. On one link, school graduation, degree, business resume.... on the next, underage nude pics from a drunken frat party, jell-o shots with three other girls, peeing in a parking lot, and a half dozen "MySpace-esque" angle-shots with the lips pursed and eyes squinted (as though looking confused and constipated looks sexy).
Bad, bad, bad.

If you get someone's business card, there's a good chance you'll Google them anyway, if you're curious about them. By doing this, not only are you basically telling them to do something that they're probably doing anyway, you're telling them that this is what you intend for them to see. If you Google a person on your own, you know that you shouldn't believe everything you read, but this is almost like they're recommending that you do just that.
Whatever. Just my 2 cents...

You can remove your Facebook profile from appearing in Google search results.
And Facebook has pretty intricate privacy controls - most just don't use them, or haven't mastered the use of them. They help much more than you think.

Never knew you could do that. But as high as privacy is set, theres always a work-around to these things. I'd never want all my friends and contacts to to talk or know each others, some are here and some are there and that's it for me.

@Rolcol: The idea is to have these worthless asswipes removed. They are generally low caliber commenters with little knowledge of what they speak.

@Martin M. Gilbert: While Con Seannery was being unnecessarily mean to you, saying something "is cool" generally does not contribute meaningfully to a conversation. I regard it as a waste of space.

"Hello,
My name is Martin and I visit Gizmodo daily. I don't comment on a lot of things, but when I do I shouldn't be worried about people hating me because I used facebook to post the comment. The user "Con Seannery tells the Facebook haters to badge..." responded to my comment telling me to leave and never come back because I use facebook. I don't think its fair for this user to continue his hatred for Facebook users. I hope something can be done about this.
Thank you very much."
