@techsmith2: I measure green in swatchbook numbers; my favorite is PMS 361, a bright and untinted shade.

If there's a defined measurement of "green" then either it will be purely a marketing term that means nothing or it will be set as a standard by someone like Greenpeace in which it will be a moving standard that is unachievable by anyone who sells more units than "their share" so that Greenpeace gets someone to take publicity snipes at like they do Apple.

@Lite: is on a boat.: It pretty much already is a marketing term.. just like organic.. well eff organic i'm only eating silicon based food from here on in.. in the old-fashioned non- biodegradable Styrofoam containers! And when I'm done suckin' down those grease ball burgers I'm gonna wipe my mouth on the American flag and then toss the Styrofoam containers right out the side, and there ain't a God-damned thing anybody can do about it. Nonsense. Objective standards are easy to judge and report. For example, contrast ratio of LCD TVs is a standard by which...oh, wait.
