The Joy of Tech has provided a nice little template of Steve Jobs' face so you can have your own little Steve head in your front lawn this October 31st. Ryan from Seattle did an admirable job with the instructions, but even with Apple's new aluminum aesthetic I can't help but wish he had used one of those all-white pumpkins. Update: reader Scott Heimendinger isn't about to let the Jobs-O-Lantern go unanswered. His creation after the jump.

<![CDATA[Bamboo Helmet from Roof is for Eco Petrol-Heads]]> We've already covered denim crash helmets and now here's a bamboo version from Roof. The shell is constructed entirely from bamboo fibers, and has passed the E22-05 safety requirements needed in Europe.

The cost of this limited-edition helmet is $378 ( 189) and it's available in the UK. There, I managed to use the words wood, helmet and head without even the tiniest bit of innuendo. Are you proud of me, or just very disappointed? [Treehugger]

<![CDATA[Thinking About Knife Storage? Use Your Head]]> Your friends will wonder in which direction your life philosophy has wandered when they see this hand-carved knife block, a prototype by Irene van Gestel of De Meubelmaat, a design group in the Netherlands. This gal must certainly possess a macabre sense of humor. Perhaps this knife caddie, chiseled out of a block of solid limewood, would be an ideal accessory in Cellblock B at Sing-Sing, where those who are looking for an appropriate place to store knives might be inclined to use their bunkmates' heads.

I wonder if Irene does custom work, perhaps replicating certain heads of state, or maybe the noggin of that old schoolmarm who got your goat back in grade school or those G-men going through your garbage and beaming music into your head. Since this is a prototype, there's no price or availability announced just yet.
