    In reply to Stitching Wounds Using Lasers
    I like the incredibly low tech application of super glue to suture, but this is very cool too, pew pew indeed.

    @CaptainHoratioMcCallister: using super glue or crazy glue is often mentioned as somethign you can do in an emergency when real medical help will be unavailable for a long time.

    As a red head, I am glad to know they are working on skin cancer research....just in case its in my future. I wonder if I can go out in the sunshine now.

    @Curves:
    if you're in a bikini,
    1) let me know,
    2) use SPF 45 sunscreen

    @scarbrtj: I actually do go out in the sun. I use SPF90 (or higher) and walk around under an umbrella. This summer, when I was vacationing at the beach, I was the ONLY person laying out to get sun from 8 to 9 a.m.

    In reply to OLEDs to be Used to Treat Skin Cancer, Acne

    Many skin cancers are currently treated by a combo of light and drugs (called photodynamic therapy)...

    PDT is used to treat many skin conditions, but it is practically NEVER used to treat skin cancer.
