The man is going to deaf as a post in a few years. 120db is just stupid.
My home theater is calibrated at 85db and that's too loud for most people. I can't even imagine sustained sound pressure levels more than 30 times louder.
@Software_Goddess: Yeah, but I mix at around 100-105dB in venues that are bigger than that barn. Louder than that is too loud. That's the main thing keeping me away from a "My Bloody Valentine" show. I love the band, but I can play the CD at a volume that won't make me dizzy.
@r0y: I went once. With a girl. I didn't have a tiny backpack, or a glow-stick, or a whistle, or anything Cat-In-The-Hat related, and I didn't get laid. It sucked.
@Shamoononon is tired: Mine was in a big pit in the desert. I was also drunk. But that didn't make me enjoy it, it just made me a mean drunk that night.
@anti-hello-kitty: Why yes he certainly will have tinnitus soon! And according to a friend of mine (who was the guy dancing two feet from the speakers) tinnitus really really $ucks bad. Really really bad and you can't make it stop. Not ever. It's there as you go to sleep at night (if you can) and its there when you wake up in the morning and all the time in-between.

Sounds like compensation for something...
