The material itself isn't slick, it just doesn't form bonds like other material which is why food, water, oil, and fingerprints don't stick. Its not actually slick to hold onto.

For the HTC guy to call the iPhone slippery when his phone is coated in Teflon is indeed ironic, particularly because it is those non-stick properties that drove them to use the material in the first place. What it actually does is prevents oil from sticking to the phone, reducing the slipperyness of the surface+oil. The iPhone, being less slippery, becomes more slippery over time with your grubby handprints
I'm assuming that the HTC also overcomes this by having a textured surface that Teflon is deposited on, which allows the phone to have some grip, as opposed to the sheer curves of the iPhone's much less slippery, but harder to hold on to, exterior.

1) Eat iPhone.
2) Poop out two iPhones.
3) Profit!

Wow-You're funny-Not
In other news, I like that HTC is really trying to push the design and functionality of their devices forward; in a time where most companies are in a down-turn with taking chances, HTC is their to pick up the slack.

Though I'm sure you'll get a reply from at least one due to your completely out of place comment that could of been completely on its own without the lame attempt to get noticed.

Oh, he said "slippery like a watermelon seed" in the interview. That makes more sense.
What still doesn't make sense to me is this: to make the HTC Hero less slippery, they cover it with the substance with the lowest coefficient of friction on earth. What?
