They'll work with all the usual VoIP and chat apps via USB on PC and Mac for $300. Is wood the new glossy white plastic? I kind of hope so, cause when done right, it's beautiful. MoCo Loco has a nice look inside the factory, if you want to see the giant solid block of wood that will be your Pappa*Phone's, er, daddy.

<![CDATA[Compact Florescent Light Bulbs, Gone Crazy]]> Compact fluorescent bulbs get more popular every day because of their energy-saving characteristics, but their conventional corkscrew/spring design leaves something to be desired. Enter Hulger, a bunch of British designers with a bent for the unusual, who have bent those tubes around into crazy configurations, making something that once appeared rather prosaic into an artform. You're looking at a prototype of the spaghetti-like bulb, and we're all hoping to see a shipping version before too long. Now if they can just make them instant-on and light 'em up with a warm color temperature of 2700 Kelvin, they'll really be onto something. [Core 77]

<![CDATA[Hulger's Ziricote Wooden Phone]]> Not as ghetto as the big Wooden Scony cellphones found in Mozambique, these HULGER phones are actually made of wood as a luxury thing. Constructed out of African Ziricote hardwood, which is usually used for decorative objects, the phone has its own wooden box and comes with a case of wax so you can wax your phone. That's not a euphemism folks.

Fortunately, this is only one of a kind and available for £2000 ($3885) from the Digital Wellbeing Showroom or direct from HULGER.
