But that, in turn, gives everyone dry-ass throats, which then necessitates a humidifier. So why not use this humidifier?

The Stadler Form Fred looks simple, yet fancy, like many of the humidifiers I saw when I visited Japan recently. It's only about $159 after being imported from Korea, so it's not absurdly priced like some of the ones I've seen. The only questions are whether it dispenses enough mist to properly moisturize the room, and if it has a big enough tank to last through the whole night, and if it's quiet enough to not wake you up every few hours. <![CDATA[The Minimalistic Concrete Block Humidifier Makes You Look Less Feeble]]> Having humidifiers in your home can sometimes change its aesthetic atmosphere, sometimes even making you look sickly. But with this Concrete Block Humidifier's simple, yet ultra-sleek design, you can now avoid drying up—in style.

Although a slab of concrete may seem like a strange choice of material for a humidifier, this concrete has a "unique character of absorbing and evaporating water rapidly." Also, because this humidifier has been equipped with weight sensors, it automatically switches itself off once all the water has been used. Efficient, isn't it? [Yanko]

<![CDATA[Sharp KC-C100, C150 Purify and Humidify Your Air Stylishly]]> Sharp's new air purifiers prove that humble household electrical gadgets can actually look quite stylish. These have triple filtration technology, including true HEPA filters to trap the majority of airborne nasties in your home, and their filters only need changing every five years. They can also push a room's relative humidity to 50%, and have a "library quiet" mode. That sounds like a nice function: my purifier makes a heck of a racket on a quiet night. The C100 can clean up 254 square feet rooms, while the C150 can cope with 247 square feet. Available now for $399.99 and $499.99 [7Gadgets]

<![CDATA[Umydo Humidifier Brings Class to Your Dry Air]]> As a guy who produces either way too much or way too little saliva, humidifiers are key to keep from waking up 14 times in the middle of the night to gulp down water. This Umydo Humidifier doesn't just moisten up the place, it adds a touch of class to a room that only a stainless steel quarter circle dog bowl could match. We're unclear on how the thing actually works or where the mist comes out of, but we definitely want one. [Allmodern via Oh Gizmo]

<![CDATA[Crane Adorable Humidifiers]]>

Usually we resent product names that tell us how we should feel about them, but the fact that Crane's line of animal-shaped humidifiers are adorable is beyond disputing. We have a dog and also live with cats, so we'd probably end up with the two at left, but the elephant and panda are nice too.

The frog, however, is so cute our heads would explode if we had to see it every day; we recommend you also avoid it. Here at Gizmodo, we care about your safety.
