    if it is real that drivers got balls of f-ing titanium... what's the sign up for that look like- "wanted somebody to make an excavator climb up tower... risks -if the claw breaks you're screwed, if the tower breaks you're screwed- Disclaimer: We [insert company name] take no responsibility if anything fails and you get crushed in a falling excavator" hmm let me think... sign me up sounds like a great deal... NOT

    @ajh0914: It wasn't performed in New York. We have a lovely little law known as Labor Law 240(1) which attaches strict liability to owners and GCs for elevation-related risks. There's no way this stunt would get insured and if it did, the policy cost a bundle.


    Of course, I'm all in favor of construction accidents. More work for me.

    anybody else think that this was a demo of a tower that could lift stuff, not thing that climbs tower, i thought it would be some werid no way to lift things using a tower
