@PunchesSmallAnimals_GitEmSteve...: They do, but the release rate is slowed by the melting ice so it takes a little longer and if you're making the drinks be sure not to dump out the ice because most people finish their drinks before full melt down. On an up note the bitter taste will be less noticeable. Not that I would know any of this just an educated guess.
@Hiroak: Thanks. I just learned that I was supposed to be using roofies. Before that I was slipping my adderrall into girls drinks. They'd still come home w/me, but then they'd clean.
I can remember when I was a kid we used to have metal trays. The cube divider insert had this lever you'd pull up on and press down to break the cubes free..
Yeah, you know what time it is. Time to get off my lawn!
Anyone else rememeber those aluminum ice cube trays you had to pull a lever on to break the ice? Those were brutal; not even Superman could pull that lever. (Ah..childhood memories of when I thought cherry Kool Aid was the finest beverage on earth.)
Wow, technology. I usually just twist the plastic ice tray....and grab it down the neck covering the other icecubes with my forearm....and drop 2-4 at a time in the cup.....
Gone are the days of smacking your sibling in the forehead with the tray to loosen the ice, or shivving the cubes with a butter knife. Oh childhood, how I'll miss thee.
@Dr.of Teledildonics: Just Tee a 1/4" copper line off the cold water tap from the kitchen sink to get the water supply over to the fridge. Add an inline filter while your at it..
@Rabid Penguin: Depends if it is your water that tastes like dirty socks, or if you keep your dirty socks in the fridge/freezer. If it's your water then get one with a built in filter. Otherwise get a hamper.

I had those!
Not to mention wearing gloves to make sure your fingers didn't stick to the tray :-P
