@Wowwee, a Zeppelin! SteveDave: In burled walnut. This is not burled walnut. It looks like plain, unvarnished mahogany.
This is not nearly luxurious enough for my champagne tastes. Speaking of champagne - any NYC commenters in need of New Year's plans, drop me a message. Including those I sent Evites to.
Also, how thick is what? Rooster sauce? I don't know. I imagine it has the consistency of Tabasco. A deep-fried hot dog? Depends on what kind of wurst you're using. I have a deep-fryer at home and may have to fry up some franks. The wooden case? I suspect it is not as thick as the trunk of a sequoia although it is probably thicker than the bark of a paper birch. An iPhone 3G? I don't know off-hand but the spec sheet on Apple's website should be able to tell you.
Let this be a lesson against asking highly personal questions with indefinite pronouns in connection with a story involving something wooden, hot dogs, and something with a rooster.
I got my wife an iPhone for xMas. I like it.... it's a fun little toy. It came with two giganto Apple stickers. Do they really expect you to put Apple stickers on your personal belongings?
@OMG! Ponies!: um it's common knowledge they come from foxconn in shenzhen. i'm sorry you had to find out this way. I'm a bit dismayed this user did not opt for LEDS which go off when the phone rings, or a suspended hologram.
@SugitaAlcimede: Actually, I've known Apple has all of its products built in China for a long time.
Apple also ships all products ordered over the internet from China, regardless of if it would be cheaper, quicker, and easier to ship from an Apple Store.
Case in point - my old iPod Radio Remote, ordered over the web because I didn't have time to get out to a store while working crazy hours. I live in NYC (home to 3 Apple Stores) and Apple shipped it in a box from Shanghai, China when a padded envelope given to a bike courier would have been far more efficient.
