There's apparently more than one man who thinks it's a fantastic idea to strap a home AC unit to a car and drive it around. This Toyota Camry station wagon, snapped by a bug-eyed Jalopnik reader, has the AC strapped on the back, instead of the top, so that it can easily kill whoever's tailgating behind him if the driver ever decides to cut the attachment rope. This is easily the second worst looking Toyota Camry model we've ever seen—the first being every other Toyota Camry on the road. [Jalopnik]

Giant Moron Surgically Trims Thumbs for Better iPhone Use

Thomas Martel surgically altered his thumbs with a new technique called "whittling" to better enable his naturally oversized digits to use his iPhone. The plastic surgeon made a small incision to each thumb, shaved down the bones, and even made some enhancements to his muscles and fingernails.

"Sure the proceedure was expensive, but when I think of all the time I save by being able to use modern handhelds so much faster, I really think the surgery will pay for itself in ten to fifteen years...that's priceless." Too bad it makes the big man's hands look "effeminate." I'm not sure I believe this story, but if it's real, I want photos of the tranny hands. UPDATE: Phil over at Apple 2.0 writes that this is a satire piece. Fine, I figured, but honestly, if they wanted to write satire, and not an internet myth, they probably should have gone over the top with the quotes. What they don't get is that with some Apple fans going far enough to get tattoos, this wasn't such an unbelievable jump. [NorthDenverNews]

Thug Posts Crime on YouTube and Gets Busted

We've seen criminals use technology in their favor, but this is one of those cases where it works against them. An 18-year old kid in Wales had his friends film him as he swiped a pair of glasses off a charity worker on the street. He then posted the video on YouTube and got busted by the cops, which let him get away with a "caution." We woulda fried him and posted that on YouTube. Video after the jump.

Here's a video of a lucky thief lifting a laptop from a computer store. We say lucky because the guy looks super conspicuous, wearing an oversized coat while store workers rock short sleeve t-shirts. He walks around like a spaz, pacing and fidgeting. And if that weren't enough to give the whole caper away, all of a sudden, The Pink Panther soundtrack starts playing in the store.
