I think MobileMe is a little overpriced, especially considering that it requires a more expensive data plan as well. My dad's wife got an iPhone and got suckered into the MobileMe plan and is paying a big premium as a result, while I have most of my info running through Google or third party apps with much of the same functionality at a much lower price.

mobille me does not require a more expensive data plan. it costs $99 per year, flat, no matter what you do with it. i have it and i use it with my iphone and have not received any additional charges.

No. Enterprise data plans are for enterprise customers only. You'll know if you need it (usually it's your company that gets it for you on a company phone).

And you CAN use Microsoft Exchange on a consumer plan as well. It doesn't require the $45/month data plan.

@dagamer34: well I guess I spoke too soon then - I thought you could only get exchange plans or MobileMe with the $45/mo data plan, which effectively made MobileMe $250/yr. I guess if it works with the standard data plan it's a little more palatable, though I still think $100 is pretty expensive for something that Google provides for free. I could see spending $50/yr on it though.
