    Know, can anyone tells me what happens when you minimize the thickness of an all plastic laptop (as they'd have to do to mimic the thinness of a Macbook Air) but would not happen if metal were used (as in the Macbook Air).....Anyone?

    Cheapness != Value.

    @bigbaddaddy: bwahhh...
    my acer aspire one a110l has also plastic case, and is hacked/modded to the fullest (touch, ram, sdd, 300mbit wlan, bluetooth, esata)... this thing fell to the ground 100times, was disassambled 10times and goes with my dj-gigs all the time ...... just curious , whats so bad about plastic case? the iiview A2 would be great because i wouldn't need the external monitor nor my external esata-drive. just the netbook + scratchlive-box .....

    @tiki tuka brumey: That's fine on a 9in machine - the plastic is decently rigid at that scale. Take it up to 12in, and that thing is gonna twist.

    In your first sentence, it should be "..then...", not "...than". "Than" is only used when you compare two things; "then" is used to show sequence.

    Sorry to be a grammar nazi...this is a common mistake, though.
