1. Commercial Free 720P episode that takes 2 hours to download the day after the episode airs.
2. ABC player does not work in Windows 7 and that is what my media center PC has so it is not an option at the moment.
But I would gladly use Hulu or ABC.com if it was possible on all my computers.

(i do agree on the convenience these data sharing/stealing services have demonstrated, but i'm disgusted by how popular it has become in our culture to openly/proudly declare yourself a dirty theif. I don't really want to associate with people who couldn't care less about "laws and shi'." just because copyright laws are crap, doesn't give us all a free pass on the legal system.)

You know, I can afford groceries, but I steal them when I don't want to wait 10 minutes in line to pay for them, or to pay $2 for a bottle of water.
I only steal cars every once in a while, so it's okay.
I break into stores to steal unreleased games because I don't like being told when I can buy them.
Sounds a little less justifiable in different contexts, eh?

Otherwise the post would be, "OMG, I'm a bad person, I should turn myself in. Jeez, I can't believe I've been doing this horrible thing."
But it's not. It's more like if you admitted to speeding. "Yes. I speed. I'm guilty. But sometimes, particularly given the outdated speed limits and advances in car safety and handling, it just makes more sense to speed a little bit. And sometimes, the system is set up where you pretty much have to speed. And sometimes it's just fun to speed. But sure, I'm guilty."
They're all justifications for speeding.

For example, if its not like they have one less transporter 3 laying around because he watched it and didn't pay for it. They are no worse off than if he just didn't watch it. What he is saying is that in most cases, he wouldn't pay to see them in the first place.
It's not like a grocery store, which would have one less bottle of water to sell if you steal it.
So they are very different.

That is my real concern about streamed media. You have no sense of ownership, and they can change what you see, and how you see it, at any time. It doesn't matter if it's last week's news broadcast or next week's movie. And if you destroy the original version after the modifications, you can't go back.

I believe that Torrenting is alright when you do it once in a while. I may occasionally torrent an episode of a TV show. I try not to, but I live in Canada where there is no Hulu, so I have very little options. I don't think I'm doing anything wrong by torrenting one or two episodes. Just my 2 cents.

I'll download movies that I'll either have never seen nor would have ever spent money on, music that I never would have spent money on (or actually have but my CD is too scratched), and TV Shows that I would have never bought the DVD for (and if I like it enough I'd buy the DVD anyway).
I'll download a game or two who don't have demos available, then realize after playing them that I don't like PC games.
Fact is, every pirate is different. My piracy is limited to things I would have never bought, or would have still bought regardless.
