I think best buy's covered their ass pretty well with that "class" business. As for me, I dont care, I've got front projction, i get to see all 132" of my image, and let me tell you, your not missing much, with a bit of the trim covering the edges.

This could be construed as either false advertising or bait and switch... Both are illegal advertising practices in the US. While, it is pretty obvious what they are doing and not entirely "sue-worthy," I would think they have probably cause for a class-action. Not that I'd support it...

@ksat: You don't need probable cause for a class action or any other lawsuit. Only a colorable claim - and even that can be fudged.

And it doesn't matter if you'd support it. The only people who make money in a class action lawsuit are the lawyers.

As the first commenter in the Bits article mentioned, it's still kind of a net gain - tube TVs used to be measured by the size of the tube (including the part obscured by the trim). At least the 31.5" is a visible 31.5".

Doesn't make up for the fake intranet but then again, that's why God invented Save Benjis.
