Why Most Gadget Price Comparison Engines Fall Short

Use Save Benjis. It's the most useful app on the iPhone - more useful than the Stocks or Weather app. If you have an iPhone, know the product you want and have Save Benjis at the ready.
Don't be afraid of second-hand merch. I've bought a healthy amount of lightly used gear from Craigslist and eBay and never had a problem. Some stuff can reliably be found second hand at a discount price. There isn't much of a reason to buy a factory-new guitar. They don't change from year to year (except when the maker does something drastic like "chambering"). A $1300 new guitar from Guitar Center can be had for hundreds less if you're will to buy a guitar from someone who played their guitar for a month and inflicted only light "buckle rash". eBay is, in my experience, a safe reliable source if you can spot a scam (i.e. a price too good to be true).
Be willing to haggle. Know where to shop. Don't be afraid of used stuff.

[This Fancy Gadget] Reviews
..yeilds mostly price-comparison BS, and those sites generally have few or borderline-retarded reviews.
Also, I'd rather buy from one of my preferred merchants (OK, NewEgg mostly), even at sacrificing a few bux saved on the piece of thing in favor of fast shipping and easy returns.
