The flexo-like iPevo P2V USB Webcam, however, caught my oh-look-so-cute-Pixarized eye. See it in action here:

The 2.0-megapixel Point to View USB 2.0 camera—which also has a macro mode for 2-inch close ups—goes for $69. [iPevo via Gizmowatch]

<![CDATA[Ipevo's New Skype Speakerphone: Go Hands-Free In Style]]> Ipevo's new Trio Skype Speakerphone defnitely has an interesting look, but its charms are not confined to aesthetics alone. The Trio also has some impressive tech under the hood like hands-free conversation (private calls can be conducted with a simple toggle switch),16 bit DSP with echo cancellation and one-touch recording. That is all well and good, but it would be better if there were a keypad on this thing —especially given the $80 price tag. [Product Page via Wired]

<![CDATA[IPEVO Skype Contest Winner!]]> Congratulations to Dan Reid, whose semi-obnoxious entry demanding we give him some Skype phones happened to be the winner (it was picked at random). Good for you Dan, and we hope you enjoy chatting over Skype with these IPEVO Skype phones.

The rest of you? Stick around. We'll have an even better contest that Dan won't be able to enter because he's already won one. Too bad, Dan!

<![CDATA[IPEVO Skypes Out a Trio of Handsets]]>
IPEVO, whose minimalist Free-1 USB handset made it stupidly simple to make SkypeOut calls, just dialed us up and announced three new products for CES. The Solo.1 (above) is a Skype certified phone that doesn't need the computer—it's an IP phone with a 2-port 10/100Mbps Ethernet switch. The 2.4-inch color screen has the usual Skype interface along with a way to look at your remaining credits, and a speaker phone function. It's available in March for $170.

The TRIO is a two-in-one (uh, trio-get it?) speaker phone and handset. Photo and details, as well as the free.2, after the jump...

TRIO.jpg
You can change the TRIO from one mode to the other using a switch on the side. It's available at the end of February for $70.

free.2.jpg
The free.2 is the updated version of IPEVO's old standby. They've added an LCD screen and a record button. $45 in February.

<![CDATA[IPEVO Free-1 Phone Reviewed (Verdict: White)]]> This $29 VOIP phone actually looks like a phone I had as a kid. It was flat and you laid it down on a desk and if you knocked it off said desk it would pick up and then you'd freak out wondering why the phones weren't working. However, this one is digital.

Compatible with both XP and OS X, the IPEVO works with Skype to make in-network and SkypeOut calls. All of the buttons are fully programmable, including three custom function buttons for quick dialing friends and relations. At only 1.5" thick and 6" long, the design is pretty striking. Some issues with the Mac driver, however, suggesting that it was released half-baked.

<![CDATA[CES Unveiled: IPEVO Fly-1 Skype Phone]]>
IPEVO, the bastard consumer electronics offspring of the Taiwanese Internet portal PChome, showed off its Skype-friendly cordless handset and speakerphone at CES Unveiled this evening. This is one of many products Skype is showing off in its bid to move out of the PC and into that tangle of cables I call a desk. Great form factor in this angled USB "Fly-1" cordless handset that also has a speakerphone and is Windows and Mac compatible. The X-shaped "Xing" USB teleconferencing phone has four speakers—but no telling the sound quality of this thing because of the noisy room. Great looking, though. Available Q1.
