android and tmobile to have OTA updates, so that should help. Windows just ignores any security threat at this point. to many of them

Can we get a 3.0.1 so i can get back to the stability/battery we had with 2.2.1?

or... I guess we'll have to wait till Sept. for 3.1

Wait... I'm confused here. Isn't MMS just text messaging? If it isn't, that explains an awful lot...

I really need to keep up with my updates, though. I got the previous firmware update months ago and never installed it. Hopefully this one will get on my phone faster.

@falandil: SMS is text messaging (simple message system). MMS is text messaging with the ability to add attachments (media messaging system).

You can send as many emails as you like with the data plan, with as many attachments as you like (one per email).

You get dinged for sending text messages (about 10 cents per sent and received) unless you get the unlimited text plan for $20 additional.

So why would you MMS for extra money when you can email for the included price?

Performed the update. It took sometime to download as it's quite large. Took a good 5 minutes to install.

Overall, no problems with my iPhone. I would like to believe it's running snappier but who knows.

I did run the install through my InCase Power Slider. No probs there.

    MMS????

    I guess not...

Damn it, I don't care so much for copy paste but not being able to receive or send pictures on the fly without having to log in, attach and send would be nice.

WTF is up with Apple so many people keep requesting this over and over and all they can do is ignore it.

@ashamaniq: I'm glad I don't get anymore goatse MMS's from my so called friends. I don't really miss MMS at all.

As always, to those people who will inevitably have problems with this update, just restore your device with this instead of simply updating it. You will have a much smoother experience, but will lose your save games and app data! OMG!
