    I am not eligible until late July since I upgraded last summer to the 3G, but another line in my plan can upgrade. So, the question is - can I upgrade the other line to the 3Gs and then just swap SIMs between it and my 3G? Anyone have any insight?

    @la_gringa: Yes. Just tell AT&T that you want to use the upgrade that another person on your plan has and they'll take care of it. That's how my mom got her iPhone. My dad's line was eligible for an upgrade but he didn't want a new phone, so my mom used his upgrade for her line.

    Anybody else underwhelmed so far? I really wanted a matte back, a thinner design (I hate the curve of the back on the iPhone 3G), and a front-facing camera.

    @kylenalepa: What really chaps my ass is the fact that half of the special features announced for the 3GS could just as easily be implemented on the CURRENT hardware via the 3.0 update!


    Granted, no one said these weren't coming out on the 3.0 software, but regardless, they announced them in the 3GS portion of the keynote, not in the 3.0 portion!
