Captain America and Billy made a point of throwing away something as basic as their watches before setting off on their epic, tragic journey. No chance would either one even consider lugging along this thing!
Ummm, how well does the iPhone touch screen work under plastic, especially when operated with gloves? How useful is that thing if you can't control it?
I would love a nice full-featured docked remote for the iPhone/Touch with real buttons, especially ones labeled "menu" and "select".
This is nothing but a glorified armband and a motorcycle headset. Nothing to see here, move along.
Wh-wh-wha-? What the f-.....I'm incredibly confused.
This product combines the sexy-slick-hipness of the iPhone with the rugged badassery of a biker who can punch you out from across the room....with the douchiness of the bluetooth headset. And it still has wires.
I have no idea what to think of this product....except the resolute belief that anyone who buys it is a hollow shell of a man, desperately clinging to any shred of identity he can scrape from the bottom of the pot everyone else finished eating from years ago.
@PurpleMonkeyDishwasher: : I ride and the only reason I don't have an iPhone is because I want to go with Android as soon as the Hero is released on Verizon. More and more people are riding these days, from all walks of life. We're not all the Sons of Anarchy you know :)
So.. do these buttons simply touch the screen to type.. or does it type by being plugged into the iphone?
My problem is, my refurbs keep having defective screens and Apple keeps denying it. Around 70% of the time I go to use my screen.. it just doesn't detect my fingers unless I turn the screen off and on a few hundred times.
My main concern with this is that if I leave it on, for mainly texting... I still have to take if off to even unlock the phone, which seems rather ridiculous.
If only it had a "slide to unlock" button on this thing.
Maybe you should try to reserve judgement before you actually saw/tried something out in person? Then you wouldn't need to backtrack on your statements.
@NewbiusMaximus: It covers half the fucking screen! Are you supposed to take it off every time you open up the browser or flick through email? Seriously, this thing is stupid.
@Eruanno: I get what you're saying, but clearly that's not the same thing. You have more room for error on a landscape keyboard so it's easier to type fast, but you still can't feel the keys.
There has been some degree of demand for a physical keyboard on the iPhone since it first launched, this is an accessory that can get you half way there if you're one of the people who prefers that feel.

You'll be typing way faster than the guy in this video in a week or two.
