Well, those features don't seem like real dealbreakers anyways, even though a camera timer would have been nice.

Good job, Snapture. Can't wait to see if my friend decides to buy this (don't have my own iPhone/iPod Touch :P ).

I hate it when i go to take a photo of my little kittycat with my 'cellular handset device' and she goes and moves her head and it turns out blurry. By the time i can retake the shot she's gone and i'm left holding the bag.

And I thought Apple was the company to make superior products, looks like they make some of the crappiest hardware and software ever. They put themselves back in the stone age by lacking basic features!

Well, he/she does have a point. The camera on my iPhone is absolute shit. Horrible pictures when compared to my existing razors and blackberrys.

If 3.00 does make it better then I ask...WTF did it take three tries to get such a basic feature to work "ok"? Because it's less then OK right now.

@vladdybear: That's an interesting point -- I noticed my iPhone was faster when I had less crap on it. Not sure if it has anything to do with it being jailbroken, but it's definitely slower than when I first got it. However, the Camera app never was the fastest thing on the planet. It is one of the few situations where I'd like a hardware button to quickly get the camera app up, and maybe a 2nd click of the button takes a photo.

Just checked, and my camera takes 7 seconds to load up, and i've only got 132 photos. my phone is jailbroken and probably could use a wipe and reinstall, but i'll probably just wait for 3.0

Try disabling location services then open up the camera app. It may be the camera getting a GPS location for your pics. If that is the case, just reset location warnings and say no next time you open the camera.

In reply to Rumor: Apple Orders 3.2-Megapixel Camera Sensors For Next iPhone
I demand that the next iPhone be capable of 24 MP, have a sensor size of at least 35.9 x 24.0mm with three separate CMOS chips, include DIGIC IV processing, harge large format and medium format modes, have a built-in dye sublimation printer for instant prints, and have enough capacity to take at least 4000 photos AND 20 minutes of video shot at 1080p.

The phone must also have enough battery life to go at least a month without charging while running Pandora, Safari, and while receiving constant IMs and emails, while transmitting 50,000 Megawatts of FM on five frequencies simultaneously. I demand throughput of at least 20MB/s down and 8 MB/s up, regardless of network capability and do not want any dropped packets whatsoever.

If the next iPhone can make phone calls, that's good too.

Also is it really safe to slap a magnet on the back of my iPhone? I remember a friend being dared to drag a magnet over the screen of a loathed 8th grade teacher's computer on the last day of school and it wasn't pretty.

@Hiphopopotamus: Pretty much everything these days is unaffected by magnets.

They really only ever affected magnetic storage, and platter style hard drives (the former is dead, and the latter is typically shielded now-a-days).

Doesn't bother SSDs in the least, unless you are talking about MRI magnitude forces...
