    @Anunnaki: Yes. NYTimes ran a story on it and the market of knockoffs in China.

    "One-fifth the price, but the same function and look" really hits home with all the knockoffs.

    One person wanted iPhone, but it's over $500 (too out-of-their-range), so the knockoff fit them quite well at a price of a little over $100.

    Actually, if they could come out with something like the Samsung Upstage, but without the MP3 player side, I'd totally buy it.

I have always wanted to have gifts like this ready for fat people who have not bathed since the cretaceous period who sit next to me on six hour plane flights. Those are my favorite times, and this would be an engaging conversation piece. #hipodphone

    That's how I thought the iPhone will be few years ago.

    But I like this one and I think it's a smart idea if apple makes a basic nano phone because a lot of people are staying far from the iPhone because they think it's geeky and complicated.

    It's just lame. Looks like a fat 1st-gen iPod nano with a camera hole and a Sony Ericsson-esque keypad on the inside.


    Flip phones are so 2005. And I bet the circular scroll wheel isn't even touch-sensitive.

    @nautilus.: That'd be weird to control, since it doesn't have that goofy volume button on the bottom part of the pad. I guess it just uses the regular side-mounted volume button like other cell phones, which is lame.
