    I doubt that Jobs takes any iPhone bashing to heart more then he takes any Mac bashing to heart. The business man's answer is to build a better product and not just sit in a room and pout. #iphone

    not gonna happen. after all the iphone bashing of recent (by vzw), you've gotta believe it was in part a reaction to a falling out with apple. maybe an 'iphone nano' is on the way and maybe it'll sport a hybrid radio of sorts, but it's not destined for verizon. #iphone

    @back_at_it: Real business isn't run like The Hills; Frienemies and personal vendettas wont increase anyones bottom line. We will most certainly see a Verizon iPhone within the next two years. #iphone

    @BleekBleek: if it's all about the bottom line, then we will absolutely not see an iphone on verizon before their lte rollout...talk about a complete waste of money (manufacturing cost) for the few months of use they'll get out of the phone by the time they release it. #iphone

    The iPhone "nano" can be about the same size as the Zune HD and still be significantly smaller than the iPhone 3GS. Hell, my iPod touch looks significantly larger than the Zune HD.

    As for Verizon, no doubt they'd want their big stupid V-check branded onto the phone, and no doubt the Fruit Comp'ny will say nay. #iphone

    @jhonizzle: Yeah, I know all about the HP iPods, but that was when HP produced them, and they were etched into the backplate. AT&T couldn't get their globe logo on the iPhone. Do you really think that Verizon will have better luck with their V? #iphone

    @pulazzo: at first, it looked like the full-sized iphone and the "nano" were the same width. you could be right, now that i look again and they aren't, oops.

    My uncle is a Vz reseller, he claims iphone in Feb 2010.
    Judging by their F You apple attitude with the droid this doesn't seem all that plausible.
    They were awful quick to take lots of marketing pics of me getting rid of my iphone for the droid too, a big F You to apple I'm sure. #iphone

    @aja175: Droid is aweful, iphone is never going to be "nano" and verizon sucks too much to ever get a phone as cool as the iphone... those are the facts #iphone

    Is it really that much of a big deal? While you wrote this article, two more Android phones came out, and Android probably went to Version 2.5. If Apple wants to keep up, they better have more up their sleeve than just different size and colours. #iphone

    @Aetius: Yep. There are some super simple things I think that apple could do. Without even getting into the whole physical/virtual keyboard thing.

    How about a notification light? How about widget support? How about some simple customization options (still dumbfounds me that I have to jailbreak for that)? #iphone

    @dnheller: It is.

    The question still remains of why.

    Edit: Actually looking at it more it sounds like there is a physical one on the back which when you use it there is a overlay of the virtural one over whatever you're working on at the time.

    I take it back, its kinda neat.

    @MadColombian: for real? perhaps you'd like an old beige handset from the 80's. This thing is beautiful! the screen could be larger but I think this embodies the Industrial design path in which technology is going.
