If the iPhone got invented in 1990, "The Butterfly Effect" would have starred Justin Long instead of Ashton Kucher, Apple's ads would have starred Heath Ledger instead of Justin Long, "The Dark Night" would not have starred Heath Ledger and sucked, the Macbook Air would sell for less than a grand, John Mayer would be a "Creative" in an Apple Store, Motorola would have made the Palm Pre, but aside from that, everything else would be about the same.

My favorite piece on the auction is the part where the seller wrote out that on the back of the iPhone it says that it can not be sold. Nifty. I am sure Apple will enjoy watching the bidding process on this and would never ask eBay to take the device off the bidding list since this is a great test to see how well the ST:TNG themed devices will sell.

Reminds me of the Lost in space movie with the Matt leBlanc, when he is working with the onboard computer and acts surprised, "Is anything wrong" "No" he said "it's the same thing but a lot faster" or something along those lines. My first gen iPhone was defenitly faster than the 3g I have now.

It could just be the ST:TNG effects they are using (none), but I would swear that model is running much faster than the product they are selling at the Apple Store today.
