I had this idea a while back, and then I saw it on Dragons' Den ([www.bbc.co.uk] Standby Saver) Wonder if this one is related

@pilott: Don't they use 220 over in the UK, and have actual switches on the outlets to power them down?

IIRC, that one on Dragons Den also did USB, and had like thee outlets that always stayed on.

I was attacked by Thunder, once. It was mud wrestling night at Scores.

Thundar wouldn't be my biggest concern.

Ookla the Mok has been shown to be very harmful to sensitive electronics.

Princess Ariel can mess with my setup anytime she wants.

This has many prankable applications written all over it. The only problem is line of sight. I use a RF remote outlet I got for 75% off after Christmas for these kinds of applications.
